What we make
pyramidsolitaire.app is the site behind our version of Pyramid Solitaire. The product is a single-player card game: 28 cards deal face up into a seven-row pyramid, and you clear it by matching playable pairs that add up to 13 and clearing Kings on their own.
We are not an app-store publisher and there is nothing to download. The game is the website. That keeps load times short, works on phones and desktops alike, and avoids an account wall. Best times, scores, move counts, and streaks live in local browser storage on your device.
If you are comparing this to another solitaire site, this page only speaks for pyramidsolitaire.app. The rules and scoring described in our how-to-play guide and FAQ match this exact build.
Our story
Pyramid Solitaire has one of the simplest rule sets of any card game people still play daily. We treat that simplicity as a responsibility to get it exactly right and the friction as close to zero as we can.
Pyramid-style patience games — clearing a triangular layout by matching cards to a target total — have circulated alongside Klondike and other single-deck solitaires in card-game collections for well over a century. The appeal is the same reason chess puzzles and crosswords endure: a small, fixed rule set that still produces genuinely hard boards.
The version played today — clear two exposed cards whose ranks add up to 13, with a King worth 13 on its own — became a staple of digital solitaire collections from the 1990s onward, when it was one of the first widely bundled "second" solitaire after Klondike.
pyramidsolitaire.app is an independent, modern implementation of that same ruleset. The rules are unchanged; what is new is a rendering that is smooth on a phone, a layout that keeps the whole pyramid, stock, and waste on one screen, synthesized sound with a real mute, and quality-of-life tools — hints, unlimited undo, unlimited redeals — that older versions rarely offered together.
What we stand for
Open the page and a pyramid is already dealt, face up. No account wall, no download, no splash video — the whole board is on the table before you finish reading this sentence.
One ruleset, unlimited redeals, unlimited undo. Nothing is gated behind a "pro" toggle and nothing nags you to install an app.
Best time, best score, fewest moves, and win streak live on your device. We do not hold your record hostage behind a login, because there is no login.
The whole game is free forever. No energy meters, no interstitial video ads between deals, no surprise paywall on the hint button.
Who it is for
pyramidsolitaire.app is a family-friendly, single-player game with no chat and no store. A poor fit if you want multiplayer or live events; a good fit if you want the real game of Pyramid Solitaire, exactly as you remember it, on whatever screen is nearby.
A deal takes two to eight minutes. Pyramid Solitaire is built for a phone on the couch or a browser tab between tasks, not a long campaign.
There is no clock forcing a move and nothing to react to. The entire challenge is seeing which playable cards pair up, and in what order.
Your record stays on the device you played on. That is a deliberate trade: instant play and real privacy, with no cloud restore.
Why this site
Pyramid Solitaire has plenty of implementations online, many of them cluttered or dated. This one exists to ship a single honest, fast version — correct rules, no clutter.
No difficulty toggles bolted on for the sake of having them — a single, correctly implemented 13-pairing ruleset with unlimited redeals, so a deal ends only when you are genuinely out of moves.
Unlimited undo and a hint that actually points at a legal move — no forced 40-click cleanup and no dead ends you cannot back out of.
No auto-playing video, no fake "download our app" banners, no dark patterns around the settings. The how-to-play guide and FAQ describe this exact engine, not a generic write-up.
How we build
The game runs entirely on the web: fast loads, tap / click / keyboard controls, and progress that stays local unless you clear your browser data. We use lightweight analytics to see what helps players — never to gate the game behind a profile. The engine on the home page is the one described on our rules pages, so search results and the live game never drift apart.
Phone, tablet, and desktop share one board. Tap or click to select and pair, or use the keyboard shortcuts for the stock, undo, hint, and new game.
Best time, best score, fewest moves, and streak are stored locally. You own the continuity of your record without signing up.
We watch aggregate usage through Google Analytics to improve pacing and polish. Details are in our Privacy Policy — never as a sales pitch.
